About Filomena

Filomena does A LOT of fun stuff!

Murals, illustrations at your wedding or shower, pet portraits, bespoke sewing projects, creative classes . . .

Filomena Jack holds a BFA from Jersey City University where she focused on photography and sculpture. After college Filomena worked as a corporate software trainer in NYC. There she fell in love with using creativity to teach skills to various audiences.

She sews lovely bespoke clothing pieces, focusing on up-cycled fabrics and a zero waste philosophy. Her sewing studio is know as The Elmira Atelier (T.E.A.) She also paints large murals, pet portraits and creates whimsical illustrations of wedding guests, Filomena is the illustrutor behind the weekly “Full of Wit” humor column written by Jim Pfiffer.

Filomena has had solo painting exhibitions in Corning, NY; at Community Arts of Elmira; and at the Gmeiner in Wellsboro, PA (to name a few). She teaches various creative classes in our local libraries and community centers.

Filomena’s first self published art book: “Bunzie’s Bundalas” is available on Amazon.

Filomena lives with her handsome husband, a sweet recycled dog, and a couple of adopted budgies in Elmira. She is a board member of the Elmira Public Art Commission.

Filomena is available for live sketching at weddings and other events.
